Hello My Dears.
Normally, I do not mention charities here just because I feel like I’m pushing stuff on people, TAT but this is a situation that is very close to me, literally.
For those that don’t know, I am a Colorado resident and I live in metro Denver. And for those that haven’t somehow heard yet, there have been massive wildfires in the state that have decimated forests, wildlife and residential homes and businesses.
Here are more photos of the fires
As I said, I currently live in metro Denver, so while I might not have a wildfire threatening my home, I can still see the effects of them all around me. One fire is in Fort Collins which is about an hour or so north of me, another is in Colorado Springs which is an hour or so south of me and another in Boulder County is only 30 mins or so west. There are a total of 6 fires burning at the moment (but there have been 10 so far the past few weeks) and on the Haines Index (which is a scale for fires, with 1 being the best and 6 the worst) they are rated a 6. And with no rain (only thunder and lightening storms, which have started most of the fires) and winds kicking up to 65 miles an hour here, it’s really not helping the situation. (It did JUST rain, but only for 5 minutes. Not exactly the deluge we need to help the fires.)
So, if you can help in any way, please do! There are several ways you can help:

Welcome to beautiful Colorado Springs. The place where nothing happens, until last Saturday.
I live in the town where that 5th picture was taken. We’ve had a lot of awful forest fires in the past year and it’s...
